The East Asian Union of
Human Genetics Societies (EAUHGS) is the only full
member and official representative of
the
International Federation of Human Genetics Societies
in East Asia Region. The EAUHGS was founded by Japan
Society of Human Genetics (JSHG) and Korean Society
of Medical Genetics (KSMG) in 1998 to promote
academic exchanges among nations and mutual
cooperation in East Asia and has contributed to the
advancement of medical genetics in Korea and Japan.
Since the proposed participation of the China Association of
Medical Genetics in 2006, EAUHGS has enhanced the
prestige as a hub of East Asian study of human
genetics.
The 2007 EAUHGS Symposium & the 7th EAUHGS Annual Meeting are expected to
deepen the academic exchange among these three
nations and celebrate a coming new era for human
genetics development in East Asian Region. We hope
that this will be a great opportunity for us to
promote cultural exchanges among nations and mutual
cooperation in the field of human and medical genetics, as well
as give you a chance to meet a lot of board members
and friends.
